You were a real pain in the arse last night. I knew that the first few weeks of living with a newborn baby would be difficult - and I feel like I've mostly taken to it quite well - however I am struggling with the disrupted sleep. Admittedly I've always been a bit of a difficult sleeper - just ask Granny if you want to know the real horror stories. Your mum's taken to it quite well though. I think she took pity on me and let me sleep through the morning chaos.
I still need to finish your bedroom, so we thought we'd go to Wickes in Knaphill to pick up some Hardwall. Your Grandad Bob has very helpfully chase channels in the wall to hide the central heating pipes, so it's not my job to fill them. I'm not an expert plasterer by any means, but I like to give it a go (check out the living room cupboard to see my first attempt - luckily there's no light in there!).
Your mum wanted to buy you some clothes, so we went to the Sainsbury's at Cobham - it's got a big Habitat section. She got you some bits while you and I walked around sniffing the reed diffusers.
You were generally very well behaved while we were out, though you did start screaming on the way home from Sainsbury's. Strangely, you stopped as we got out the car park - something about being in cars seems to calm you down. Maybe you'll be the mechanic Grandad Bob hopes you'll be one day after all?
Dad.
