It's been just over a week since you were born, but it's flown by. I think you're adjusting to your new home quite nicely. It's been my job to make sure your bottles are cleaned, sterilised and refilled ready for when you need them - and you haven't been making it very easy. The midwives said you would eat more and more every day, but I'm impressed just how much you're putting back. Hopefully this means you'll be back to your birth weight soon.

Your Uncle Martin and Auntie Fyw came to visit you in the afternoon. They were both so excited to meet you - I reckon you're going to think they're a lot of fun when your older. We chatted for a while, as they both took turns to make a fuss of you. They moved into their new flat in Earley over the summer, so Martin wants to make their first Christmas really special. We all went to Squires in Horsell so he could buy some new decorations - I bought a box of grass seed and complained about all the tat. You'll get used to this as you get older.

You were a bit grumpy in the evening, but you eventually settled down. In the evening, we watched The Simpsons. That probably seems pretty old fashioned to you.

Dad.
