Today was our first morning at home together. Your mum was looking after you, so I made her brekfast in bed: scrambled eggs on toast. She's probably mentioned this to you, but your mum really enjoys eggs.

The community midwife came to visit us at about 11 - her name was Astrid. She seemed happy with how you were getting on and suggested we carry on with the mixed feeding plan Dr Katie had given us.

It looks like we'll be topping you up with formula for a little while, so I went to Tesco at Brookland to buy some Cow & Gate formula for you.

I bumped into Roger next door in the evening. He asked me to send his best to you and your mum, and he would see us about soon. I said we were still deciding on a name for you. He suggested we don't call you Cecil, as his friend's son has that name and can't wait to change it. Roger gives good advice.

You seem like quite an easy going kind of baby so far. Sometimes you grumble or cry, but it's usually solved by giving you something to eat. Bean isn't too keen on you, but that was always going to be an uphill battle because he hates children. Maybe you'll be the exception?

Dad.
